The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill nine (9) limited term, full-time positions in the class of Office Support Specialist. These limited term assignments are scheduled to expire two years from the date of hire.
The eligible list that is established as a result of this recruitment will be used to fill future limited term and regular vacancies in this class as they become available countywide.
The incumbents will work in the Yolo County Community Health Branch. The regular permanent position will be part of the Branch Administration team, while the limited term positions will work to support the COVID Response team to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The ideal candidates will need to have previous experience providing professional administrative and clerical support . They must also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and customer service skills. Proven experience using Microsoft Office or Office 365 to provide administrative support to the department is also preferred.

Education: Successful completion of high school or GED certificate; AND
Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible office clerical experience.
Typing Speed: Ability to type no less than 35 words per minute.

Eligibility Criteria : Online typing certificates are NOT accepted. In order for your typing certificate to be accepted, it must meet the following criteria:
• The test must be a minimum of three minutes long.
• The test must have been in the past 12 months of application. Typing certificates older than 12 months are not accepted.
• The certificate must include time limit of the test, gross words per minute, number of errors, date of test, and the signature of the person administering the test. The certificate must be on agency letterhead.
