Forensic Services is looking for Group Supervisor Assistant! As a Group Supervisor Assistant you will provide direction and leadership in Residential Services as well as the Administrative on Duty Supervisor Office. This position will help ensure effective quality of care in a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Supervise Security Services staff
  • Develop procedures within the Security Services department
  • Supervise and assist in staffing of residential services to ensure qualified staff are assigned to work areas
  • Assess qualifications of candidates and hire employees, manage employee performance
  • Establish service delivery expectations as well as the safety and security of the facility as defined by program policies and procedure

This announcement will be used to fill two (2) permanent, full-time, benefit eligible positions at Forensic Services. One position is on rotating shift supervising the residential utility pool. The second position is on night shift supervising residential overnights. Both shifts include scheduled weekend hours.

The Forensic Services campus in St. Peter is comprised of the Forensic Mental Health Program and the Forensic Nursing Home. Forensic Services provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. This is a safe and secure treatment environment.


Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, applicants must have:
  • 1-year supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential, or corrective environment;

  • 2 years lead work, para-professional, or professional experience in a therapeutic, residential, or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs.

A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field may be substituted for 6 months of experience OR one year of supervisory experience may be substituted for a maximum of 6 months of experience.

OR an equivalent combination of the above.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with patients/clients with sexual psychopathic personalities, sexually dangerous persons, mentally ill and dangerous, or with developmental disabilities.
