Position Summary
Children's Minnesota is seeking a full-time Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Program Therapist to join Children's Primary Care Clinic located at the St. Paul hospital campus.

Children's Minnesota's Integrated Behavioral Health specialists are psychologists, social workers, and counselors that work closely with primary care providers to provide coordinated, convenient and cost-effective behavioral health services for children and adolescents at their primary care clinics.

As an integrated part of the clinic care team, the Behavioral Health Specialist provides short term mental health services; consultation, brief assessments, and treatment planning with children and their families.

A very supportive group, the IBH team meets every two weeks for case consultation and collaboration. Schedule follows clinic hours; Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5/5:30PM

Education/Certification
  • LGSW required
  • LICSW/LMFT/LPCC preferred
  • BLS required

The Psychological Services department provides services on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. Specific services include individual and family therapy, psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, and inpatient consultation and liaison. We also have pediatric psychologists embedded in a number of specialty clinics. Annually, we care for over 2,200 children with a primary reason for a visit related mental health concern in our two emergency departments, and complete 23,000+ outpatient visits in our behavioral health clinics.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic or hospital environment.
*Willingness to work under appropriate clinical supervision.
*Exhibits a high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
*Ability to assess and provide intervention services to children and adolescents in acute crisis / experiencing suicidal ideation.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
