Summary:

The System Admin & Analyst, Accounting I - FORT (Financial Oversight Review Team) plays a crucial role in providing seamless operational support to the Accounting Department. A key aspect is the ability to work independently on various analytical assignments using sophisticated tools and techniques to optimize organizational efficiency. Will also be responsible for reviewing financial processes across the company, to identify opportunities, and offer recommendations for cost-saving projects.

Essential Job Functions may include:

  • Become the go-to expert in the Invoice Routing System, overseeing and managing day-to-day reporting, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.

  • Reconcile credit card transactions and provide administrative support to all users.

  • Proficient in reporting functions and adept in handling data downloading, formatting, and manipulation.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all cash management activities to support both custodial and corporate transactional needs.

  • Collaborate with the Travel and Expense Manager in auditing expense reports, optimizing travel management practices, and delivering other exceptional administrative support as required.

  • Leverage analytical and accounting skills to provide exceptional support on major accounting projects.

  • Thoroughly investigate accounts payable transactions, performing audits focused on vendors, identifying departmental expenses and justifications for the charges.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

This job is an individual contributor with no direct reports and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Understanding of basic Accounting Principles.

  • Understanding of Expense reimbursement process.

  • Understanding of basic Accounts Payable process.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS-Office tools including Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with accounting software preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
