We are currently looking for a full-time Journeyman Electrician to perform moderate to complex electrical and electronic repairs, installations and adjustments to industrial printing, laminating, slitting, and auxiliary equipment used in the manufacture of Flexible Packaging in our Battle Creek, MI facility. Our maintenance team consists of maintenance mechanics and electricians who work together to maintain and repair our production equipment.

When your actions lead to success.

• Analyze machine error messages, test results, and operator observations to diagnose equipment problems.
• Interpret technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, elementary schematics, ladder diagrams and logic diagrams.
• Coordinate projects and responsibilities with skilled trades (mechanics, Technicians, Operators, etc.) to minimize downtime of equipment.
• Perform predictive and preventive equipment maintenance.
• Maintain necessary record keeping for equipment maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment suitable for the food packaging industry.
• Suggest ideas to support continuous improvement in all areas of the Company.

When your expertise drives us.

• Possession of an electrical license issued by the State of Michigan or Township.
• Knowledge of current National Electrical Code and industrial electrical equipment & methods.
• Understanding of PLC Operation and Wiring.
• Advanced knowledge of solid-state components, their uses and theory.
• Documented experience with electronic board trouble-shooting and repair, AC/DC drive troubleshooting and repair and preventative maintenance of industrial electrical/electronic equipment.
• Control wiring Troubleshooting Skills.
• Ability to use testing equipment related to industrial electronics.
• Ability to work with Oscilloscope and navigate Panel Views.
• Frequency Drive Knowledge.
