Responsibilities

3rd Shift - 10:45pm to 6:45am - Sunday through Friday morning

Starting Pay $22.35

Now hiring for an Injection Mold Color Change Operator at our Murrysville, PA manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes various component parts.
    • Coordinate work flow and material handling within work cell.
    • Use process support monitoring equipment.
    • Operate fork trucks.
  • Performs color changes and/or startups of injection molding machines.
    • Perform process control, start-up, process monitoring, press / mold maintenance.
    • Prepare raw materials including mixing for processing.
    • Start-up / operate part picker.
    • Run polycarbonate work cells, which requires additional trimming and notching.
    • Run lens work cell which has heightened inspection and cutting operations (expensive tooling).
    • Visually Inspects, trims excess material and maintains relevant paperwork.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Log scrap data, dimensional data and color change timer operations in computer system.
  • Set-up and start all auxiliary equipment except robot setup.
  • Set up and start hot runner controls, thermolators, and pulse cooling.
  • Check safeties on all press types inspect PM presses, perform basic press operations & perform mold cleaning operation.
  • Successfully complete color changes with established time limits.
  • Weigh blender, Colorimeter Operation, Plastrac.
  • Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
  • Proven ability to understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices .
  • Ability to work in a fast paced repetitive environment.
  • Infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Use power and hand tools, and to operate moderately complex machines.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.
  • Work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform lockout / tag-out.
  • Obtain fork truck certification.
  • Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
  • Wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes, and other PPE as required.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 months previous industrial manufacturing or related experience.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • 6 months previous industrial manufacturing or related experience.
  • Previous certification in Hat Molding.
