The Department of Medicine's Division of Rheumatology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is seeking a Research Instructor level faculty with interest and experience in cell and molecular biology of lung disease. This is an opportunity to work with a group of faculty who are passionate about teaching, research, and creating collaborative, diverse, and inclusive work environments that provide opportunities for professional development. We are recruiting a Research Instructor level faculty to engage in research in our Scleroderma Center at the University of Pittsburgh. A successful candidate will have obtained a PhD in biological sciences, possess strong laboratory skills in cell and molecular biology, and a track record of publications and engagement. This recruit will work collaboratively with investigators in other divisions within the Department of Medicine, the Department of Immunology, and the Center for Systems Immunology. The Research Instructor will be engaged in the development and mentoring of trainees and students. They will build and lead staff in their team, and support both the Division and Department missions. The Research Instructor will have interest and dedication to, securing both internal and external funding and supporting the mission of the University of Pittsburgh. This position will be 90% research and 10% teaching.
