Hydraulic Fabrication Technician, Northborough, Massachusetts

Essential Functions

• Pull necessary parts to prepare for assembly.
• Inspect parts and various components.
• Build units according to engineering specifications, including, but not limited to:
• Component layout
• Fabricating miscellaneous brackets and structures
• Selection of appropriate tubing and fittings
• Tube bending, fabrication and installation
• Prep and / or test completed unit.
• Adjust components and equipment and perform troubleshooting to identify and correct issues.
• Prep and / or paint completed unit.
• Clean, organize, and maintain the Shop and Shop equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
• Potentially travel offsite to help start systems at customer's facilities.

Experience, Education and Skills

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR combination of related training and experience.
• 1+ years' experience in fluid power assembly required.
• 3+ years experience preferred.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude required.
• General metal working & pipe fitting experience preferred.
• GMAW carbon steel welding experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, fluid power and electrical schematics/drawings.
• Physical Requirements—Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Position requires standing, bending and kneeling 95% to 100% of the workday.
