As a Business Leadership Intern, you will work closely with our Leadership Teams to support various aspects of business operations within the ready-mix concrete industry. This internship is designed to provide exposure to strategic planning, process improvement, project management, and overall business development.

Responsible For:

  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic business plans.
    • Assist in analyzing market trends and industry data to identify growth opportunities.
  2. Operational Support:
    • Collaborate with different departments to streamline and improve business processes.
    • Support the implementation of operational efficiency initiatives.
  3. Project Management:
    • Assist in planning and coordinating projects related to business development and process optimization.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  4. Data Analysis:
    • Analyze financial and operational data to generate insights and support decision-making.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership review.
  5. Market Research:
    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
    • Provide insights to assist in strategic decision-making.

What we are looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in the Concrete Industry Management Program at South Dakota State University, summer between junior/senior year.
  • Familiarity with all commonly used computer software (MS OfficeSuite, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to business operations in a dynamic industry.
