Position Summary:

The goal of this project is to investigate potential causes for why more facilities have not converted to the CR model, and to use the data to provide recommendations to Department of Human Service (DHS) about how to increase the number of CR facilities with the subsequent transfer to clients to QRTP programs. There are multiple parts to the project which will allow investigators to obtain a variety of data from stakeholders, allowing an in-depth examination of the issue from various perspectives

The designed care model of children transitioning from Subacute Care to Community Reintegration (CR) to Qualified Residential Treatment Providers (QRTP) has hit a stumbling block in full implementation because there is only one CR facility in the state. CRs and QRTPs are designed for Medicaid children leaving acute or psychiatric residential treatment

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs literature reviews and written products of literature review, methodology, and results
  • Collects, analyzes, and enters data for research and contractual information and ensures quality control
  • Establishes rapport with all researchers, evaluators, participants, and stakeholders
  • Communicates in verbal and written as well as both formally and informally with all parties
  • Ensures that documents/data are appropriately gathered and maintained, and federal, state, university, IRB-(Institutional review board for research), and HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations are followed
  • Work with minimal supervision, plans, organizes, and coordinates multiple work assignments
  • Teaches a class each year (3 semester hours)
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of multiple statistical packages and methods

Knowledge of research and HIPPA compliance

Detailed oriented and data driven

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Masters Degree in statistics, psychology, mental health, or a related field
