Position: Vice President

Reports to: Senior Vice President


Technical Responsibilities:

- Act as the project manager for major Resident Engineering Inspections and Construction Inspection / Management Services (REI & CI/CM) for Bridges and Roadways, catering to prominent clients in the New York City Metropolitan Area, such as NYCDOT, MTA, Port Authority, NYCEDC, NYCDPR and various other agencies. overseeing medium to large-scale projects.

- Manage to successfully deliver multiple Resident Engineering Inspections and Construction Management Services.

- Manage personnel and budget, invoicing

- Hands on project management and direct supervision of field personnel

- Drive regional business development efforts with selected NYC and NYS agencies.

- Pursue Request for Proposals (RFP) for REI & CM projects.

- Lead the preparation of detail writeups for project understanding, technical approach, and key challenges on selected CI/CM/REI selected proposals.

- Lead preparation of presentations for Resident Engineering Inspections and Construction Management Services tailored to transportation clients.

- Direct the negotiation process for contractual and financial agreements with both clients and sub-consultants.

- Anticipates potential challenges or opportunities, conducts thorough analysis utilizing available resources, generates alternatives, and determines the most optimal approach to either mitigate challenges or capitalize on opportunities.

- Empowered to act autonomously or as a team leader representing KS Engineers when interfacing with consulting firms. Responsible for ensuring that the final outcome of the project or program aligns with the initial scope and budget requirements.

- Conduct interviews with potential candidates to work on REI & CM projects.

- Manage personnel issues working in close collaboration with HR Director.

Requirements:

Educational Requirements:

- A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering,

- 15 years plus experience in Resident Engineering Inspections and Construction Management Services for Bridges and Roadways, with at least 2 projects as a Resident Engineer.

- Demonstrated familiarity and relationships with New York city and state agencies bridges and roadway clients such as NYCDOT, MTA B&T (TBTA), Metro North, LIRR, NYSBA and EDC etc.

- Familiarity with NYCDOT as a client. Prior experience with NYCDOT is a plus.


Professional Licenses/Registrations:

- New York PE a must

- Willing to pursue professional development, training, and licensing
