SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for research, analysis, design, and implementation of modern communication technologies to build a resilient and secure foundation underlying all corporate (business and R&D) systems. The candidate must possess significant experience in building, transitioning, and maintaining hybrid network and security infrastructure spanning on-prem, co-located, and cloud-hosted spaces. They should be familiar with modern networking and security technologies, with perspective on how and when the company can leverage them to our advantage. They will work closely within a blended team of extremely talented systems, security, and software engineers to support all company systems and technology. This role comes with an opportunity to lean into other skill sets alongside highly competent and experienced colleagues.

Physical facilities are located in downtown Seattle and Kent, WA; the ability to work at these locations as necessary is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will possess significant experience with, and have responsibility for, the following skills and domains. This position is a combined architectural/operational role.

  • Design and build wired and wireless network infrastructure and wide-area/hybrid networks
  • Implement security and compliance practices and policies
  • Perform maintenance, renewals, and remediation of network infrastructure
  • Implement network monitoring and alerting (jointly with systems team)
  • Provider and vendor management
  • Production support to internal teams
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 6 years experience as a Network Engineer. Experience in the information security sector is ideal
  • Participates in a team-wide on-call rotation
  • Able to work onsite and travel within the Seattle area
  • Able to perform some work off hours, during non-impacting service windows, to implement, upgrade, and replace infrastructure
  • Able to work prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
  • Able to lift up to 45 pounds during physical maintenance

$114,000 - $149,000 + benefits
