Description

ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team. As a Payroll Manager at ARETUM, you will be responsible for overseeing the payroll function and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the payroll team, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review and reconcile payroll data, including deductions, withholdings, and company contributions.
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll calculations and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax forms, and other related documents.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and information.
  • Manage and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Manager, preferably in the government contracting industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing procedures, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and systems.
  • Working knowledge of relevant payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience managing a payroll team and overseeing payroll operations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
