Threat Tec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intelligence Specialist III to join our team for the Marine Corps Forces Cyber Command (MARFORCYBER) Comprehensive Cyber Support Services III contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. As an Intelligence Specialist III, you will play a critical role in providing advanced cyber threat intelligence analysis, conducting comprehensive assessments, and delivering actionable insights to enhance cyber defense operations.

Responsibilities

  • Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threat intelligence data, including indicators of compromise (IOCs), malware analysis, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Threat Assessment and Reporting: Evaluate cyber threats and vulnerabilities, assess potential impact and risk to organizational assets, and produce timely and actionable intelligence reports.
  • Incident Response Support: Provide support to incident response teams by conducting rapid cyber threat assessments, providing situational awareness, and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Cyber Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for cyber threats within network environments using advanced threat intelligence feeds, analytical tools, and techniques.
  • Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Collection: Monitor open source channels, forums, and social media platforms to gather relevant cyber threat information and identify emerging trends.
  • Collaboration and Information Sharing: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including cyber analysts, engineers, and law enforcement agencies, to share intelligence and enhance cyber defense capabilities.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and mentorship to junior intelligence analysts, share best practices, and contribute to the development of intelligence analysis methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence analysis, preferably in a military or government environment.
  • Proficiency in intelligence analysis tools and techniques, such as link analysis, pattern recognition, and geospatial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape, threat actors, and attack vectors.
  • Experience with intelligence reporting standards, such as Structured Threat Information eXpression (STIX) and Trusted Automated eXchange of Indicator Information (TAXII).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework and MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information, identify trends, and draw insights from disparate sources.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Security Clearance: Active DoD security clearance (e.g., Secret or Top Secret clearance) is required.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, contribute to cross-functional projects, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
