Job Title: Senior National Coordinator, Election Protection
Location: Hybrid; Remote Work in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or Virginia
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
The Voting Rights Project is the organization’s largest programmatic unit, with a combination of attorneys, advocates, project managers, and technical specialists. Its work includes a range of litigation, policy, advocacy, and voter support efforts, including fulfilling the organization’s role as convener of the National Election Protection Coalition—the nation’s largest and longest-running non-partisan voter protection effort, comprised of nearly 400 organizations nationwide, with many working at the state and regional level.

Election Protection works throughout the year to provide information and resources to voters and combat barriers to the ballot box, with a focus on communities of color that have been historically disenfranchised by voter suppression efforts and subjected to increased efforts to stifle their voice and power in recent years. A key component of Election Protection is the 1-866-OUR-VOTE voter protection hotline and sister hotlines in Spanish, Arabic, and multiple Asian languages managed by partner organizations.

The Lawyers’ Committee seeks a talented, dynamic, and enthusiastic organizer with at least three years of experience working directly with Black communities and other communities of color, to serve as a Senior National Coordinator for Election Protection and the Voting Rights Project (“VRP”). External candidates must be physically based in an assigned state and work remotely with the Lawyers’ Committee team based in Washington D.C.
